Something for the Kids - Find the Moon Phase
Let's start off the new year with something for the kids and give them a hands-on activity to plant the seeds of interest in astronomy. The 2020 Moon Phase Wheel can be downloaded and printed on card stock. Once the wheels are assembled, find the moonrise and moonset times and moon phases for each day of the year. This would also be a great family activity.
Step 1. Download the moon wheels.

Step 2. Cut out the wheels.
Step 3. Follow the directions on the download to assemble the moon calendar.
